These apartments have been renovated beberapai times to obtain an attractive design and modern homes. Renovations are still awake are closely related from year to year when it was designed by Arvid Fuhre in the style of  House of Governors.

The Swedish design of using a neutral base and then adding onto this modern detailing such as the furniture and wall coverings is clearly shown throughout the apartment. This apartment was originally designed in order to accommodate large families however it does this without being too ostentatious or overwhelming. The overall effect is of a light and airy space which you could easily see yourself occupying.

Elegant Curves – Residential Highrise Marco Polo Tower in Hamburg

At the Hamburg HafenCity beach pier the 56 meter high Marco Polo Tower as a new landmark was completed in summer 2010. The shining white residential tower was, like the adjacent Unilever building, designed by the Stuttgart-based bureau Behnisch Architects. It provides 58 generous and brightly lit luxury apartments distributed across 18 floors with flexibly usable areas of between 60 and 340 square meters. In order to make use of the location in the best possible way and to enable a wide view across the river Elbe and the slowly evolving Elbphilharmonie just a few meters down the river, all floors are equipped with end-to-end glazed outside areas as well as with large terraces and balconies. Shops and food service providers were integrated on base level.

Marco Polo did not start his sales trips to China in the 13th century from Hamburg, but from Venice – in terms of boldness and daredevilry, however, this new building is absolutely able to compete with its famous eponym. The first look already realizes the dynamically playful, but also organically twisted basic structure that allows every single apartment to have an individual ground plan and view. Additional appeal the asymmetric residential sculpture gets through its elegantly curved yet still projecting terraces with their all-round banisters made of glass and concrete. The interplay of various materials and shapes turned out to be a perfectly balanced whole which stands out from the rather orthogonal architecture of the HafenCity in a refreshing manner.
